Meet Nikki Farahanchi
Nikki Farahanchi is an Iranian American dance artist, specialized in Persian dance and Bellydance. Inspired by her own Iranian identity and summer travels to Iran, Nikki began her journey of researching and educating in the Middle Eastern dance field in 2017. She graduated with her bachelor's in business in 2022 from University of Michigan and is currently pursuing her MFA in Choreographic Inquiry at UCLA this fall. She has previously instructed at Janelle Issis's JBelly School of RAQ and Manhattan’s Pardis for Children, a Persian cultural immersion school. Nikki has a passion for teaching the traditions and rituals of Middle Eastern dance to her community with an emphasis on history and authenticity. She has taught dance workshops to youth, students, and adults and welcomes any curious mind to her classroom.
